Free Bookkeeping Assessment

Let's Start with a Conversation

Every business is different.

That's why I don't believe in offering one-size-fits-all bookkeeping services before I understand your business, your current bookkeeping process, and what's most important to you.

The purpose of the Free Bookkeeping Assessment is simply to get to know you, understand your business, and learn how I might be able to help.

What Happens During the Assessment?

We'll spend about 30 minutes together, either at your place of business or another convenient location where we can look through your bookkeeping records.

  • Talk about your business
  • Discuss what's going well
  • Talk about what's causing you the most frustration or concern in your business
  • Look through your current bookkeeping records together
  • Ask questions so I can better understand how you currently manage your bookkeeping
  • Discuss any questions you have
  • Identify opportunities to make your bookkeeping simpler, more organized, and less stressful

My Goal

This meeting isn't about selling bookkeeping services.

It's about learning.

Before I can recommend anything, I need to understand your business, your bookkeeping process, and what matters most to you.

The better I understand where you are today, the better I'll be able to recommend an approach that truly fits your needs.

Are My Books Too Messy?

Not at all.

Many business owners contact me because they feel overwhelmed, have fallen behind, or simply aren't sure where to begin.

There's no judgment here.

Whether your books are beautifully organized, several months behind, or somewhere in between, we'll simply start where you are.

What Should I Bring?

Don't worry about bringing everything perfectly organized.

Bring whatever you currently use to manage your bookkeeping.

Whether that's QuickBooks, spreadsheets, receipts, bank statements, or even a box of paperwork, we'll go through it together.

If you aren't sure what to bring, don't worry - bring what you think is relevant, and we'll sort through it together.

Will I Get a Sales Pitch?

No.

This meeting is about understanding your business - not convincing you to hire me.

Before I can recommend anything, I need time to fully understand your business, your bookkeeping process, and what I've learned during our meeting.

If I see opportunities where I believe I can help, I'll share my initial thoughts with you before we finish.

If I don't believe I'm the right fit for your situation, I'll tell you that too.

What Will I Learn?

  • A better understanding of your current bookkeeping situation
  • A few practical bookkeeping tips you can use right away
  • My first impressions of your bookkeeping system
  • An idea of where I believe improvements could be made

What Happens Next?

After our meeting, I'll take some time to organize everything we've discussed and put together my thoughts on how I think I can best help you.

  • My recommendations
  • A few options for working together
  • Pricing for each option

Then I'll give you time to look everything over, think about the options, and ask any questions you may have. There is absolutely no obligation, and you'll never be pressured to make a decision before you're ready.

Even if you decide not to move forward with my services, my hope is that you'll leave with a better understanding of your bookkeeping and a clearer picture of where your business stands.

What You Won't Find Here

  • High-pressure sales tactics
  • Confusing accounting jargon
  • Judgment if your books are behind
  • One-size-fits-all recommendations
  • Pressure to make a decision before you're ready

Instead, you'll find someone who wants to understand your business first, answer your questions, and help you decide what's best for you.

Let's spend about 30 minutes getting to know your business and talking about how bookkeeping can become one less thing for you to worry about.
